CALL FOR TUTORIALS

IM 2011 will feature state-of-the-art tutorials from leading experts in their fields during the symposium.

Tutorials will address highly important and relevant subject areas of Network and Service Management.

To provide the best possible tutorial offerings, IM 2011 solicits proposals and ideas for half-day (3.5 hours) tutorials.

Proposals will be evaluated by the IM 2011 Organizing Committee.

Example topics include, but are not limited to:
- Managing M2M (Machine-to-Machine) Networks and Services
- Managing Networks and Services using Smart Phones and Devices
- State of the Art on Security Management
- Managing Converged Networks and Services
- Managing Future Networks
- Managing Cloud Computing and Services
- State of the Art of Web Service Technologies
- Control Theory for Network and Service Management
- Semantic Web and Knowledge Engineering
- Smart Grid Management

Important Dates:
* Deadline for Tutorial Proposals: October 15, 2010
* Notification of Acceptance: November 1, 2010
* Final Version Due: April 1, 2011
* Tutorial Day: May 23 or May 27, 2011


If you are interested in presenting a tutorial at IM 2011, please send a title and short abstract to the Tutorial Co-Chairs:

Additional Information

Once accepted, a tutorial will be held provided that there is a minimum audience of 7 registrants for the tutorial.

The tutorial presenters can choose between (i) a stipend of $500 US per half-day (to be shared among speakers for a particular tutorial if more than one speaker presents the tutorial) or (ii) one free conference registration.

As for most conferences, travel and other expenses are to be covered by the tutorial speakers themselves.
